Bee Friendly Organic Mosquito and Tick Control was founded by Anthony “Tony” DeSantis, a Newburyport native with over 13 years of experience in the lawn care and pest control industry.

Tony began his career as a licensed pesticide applicator, working his way from technician to sales to sales management. He developed a reputation for a simple, honest approach. If you have a problem and he has a solution that works for you, great. If not, no hard feelings. No pressure, no hard sell. Just expertise, transparency, and genuine care for the customer.

It was during his years working for a small organic lawn and pest control company that everything changed. Tony learned firsthand about the impact conventional chemical treatments have on pollinators like bees and butterflies, on beneficial insects, on soil biology, and on the families being treated. He discovered that effective pest control didn’t have to come at that cost and he never looked back.

After years of building and growing programs for other companies, Tony founded Bee Friendly with a clear mission: to provide the North Shore community with organic mosquito and tick control that actually works, without compromising the health of your family, your pets, your garden, or the environment.

The name Bee Friendly reflects everything the company stands for. It means being friendly to bees, pollinators, and the ecosystem we all depend on. It means being friendly to customers, treating every property with the same care and attention Tony would give his own. And it means being friendly to employees he hopes to have one day, building a team that has a real career, not just a job. Tony lives locally and serves the communities he grew up in — Newburyport, Amesbury, Merrimac, Salisbury, Newbury, West Newbury, and surrounding areas.
