Frequently asked questions.
How does your treatment work?
We use a botanical, plant-oil-based mosquito and tick control formula combined with a natural sticking agent. This allows the active ingredients to adhere to vegetation and shaded surfaces, improving coverage, effectiveness, and longevity.
The treatment works by:
Disrupting pests’ nervous systems, preventing normal movement and survival
Breaking down protective outer layers, causing dehydration in ticks and mosquito larvae
Blocking breathing structures in larvae, reducing mosquito populations
Creating a repellent barrier that drives adult mosquitoes and ticks away from your yard
What are the ingredients in the treatment?
Our formula is made from naturally derived plant oils, including: soybean oil, clove oil, citronella oil, lemongrass oil, and other botanical extracts
These ingredients are safe for humans, pets, and the environment when applied correctly.
What is the purpose of the sticking agent?
The natural sticking agent helps the formula bond to plants, shrubs, and shaded surfaces. This increases the duration of protection, improves resistance to rain and weather, and provides more consistent results between treatments.
Is it safe for kids, pets, and the environment?
Yes. Our treatments are made from low-toxicity, plant-based ingredients. Once the product dries, typically within 30–60 minutes, your yard is safe for children, pets, and outdoor activities.
How long does a treatment last?
Each application typically provides 4 weeks of protection, depending on factors like rainfall, shade, vegetation, and pest pressure. The sticking agent helps extend the residual effect.
Will it harm bees or butterflies?
No. We take care to avoid blooming flowers, active pollinator zones, and feeding areas. The treatment targets areas where mosquitoes and ticks hide, such as tall grass, shaded vegetation, and mulch.
Does the treatment have a smell?
Yes, most people find the smell of the products we use to be pleasant. A light, natural botanical scent from clove, citronella, and lemongrass oils. The aroma usually fades within a few hours.
How soon can I use the yard after treatment?
We recommend waiting until product has dried, typically 30–60 minutes after application, depending on weather.
Does rain affect the treatment?
The sticking agent makes the formula rain-resistant once dry. Light to moderate rainfall won’t wash it off. Only heavy rain immediately after application (before drying) may reduce effectiveness.
Do I need to be home during service?
No. As long as we have access to your yard, we can perform the treatment and notify you when the service is complete.
What if I’m not seeing results?
If you’re not satisfied with the reduction in mosquitoes or ticks, I’ll come back and retreat at no charge.
